Coconut chutney

  • Fresh Coconut : 50gm

  •  Almonds: 20

  • Green chilly -1-2 or as per desired spice level

  • Lime juice :2 Teaspoons

  • Salt

  • Water 

For tempering:

  •    Ghee: 2 tsp

  •    Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp

  •    Jeera: 1/2 tsp

  •    Dry red chillies

  •    Curry leaves: 5-6 

  • Soak the almonds in hot water for 20 minutes, then remove the outer layer .
  • Again soak these blanched almonds  in a bowl of water till use.
  •  In a  mixier jar , add coconut, blanched almonds, green chilly, salt, lime juice and blend into a smooth paste by adding water little by little. 
For Tempering :
  • Take a small kadai, add ghee to it, once  ghee is heated , add jeera, mustard to it. Once mustard seeds splitter, and dried red chillies  add curry leaves to it. 
  • Top this tempering over coconut chutney.
